BACKGROUND

Exo 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Exo 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

What is God saying in these scriptures?

“when I see the blood I will not allow the destroyer to come into your house to afflict you.”

Yet, what is the reality for most Christians?
Affliction, aggravation, irritations, hindrances among other things to say the least.

But in John 6:53-56 what does Jesus say?

John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

He tells us to eat His flesh and drink his blood.

What does he mean by that?

The words ‘eat and drink’ present the idea of feasting—feasting on the blood of the cross. When we appreciate and celebrate the blood of the cross we are eating and drinking his flesh and blood.

Gal. 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Paul said, “I glory in the cross,” which meant that he boasted about the blood of the cross. So let’s appreciate and celebrate the blood of Jesus. When the Lord sees us do this he will be aroused to arise and stop the enemy from coming onto us to afflict us.

Let us now celebrate the blood of Jesus. (back to beginning; Recite the prayer.)
